I think I like the Stonereaper more. 4x faster isn't that great anyways. Also, Dark Dmg > Cold Dmg.

How about cold damage to activate Spinal Shivers? Puts a point in Modti's favor if you ask me

If your staffing to interupt:

1) Your build makes you run low on energy
2) Your team mates dont have cold weapons, making this skill close to useless.

Neither: HCT for the Curses skill tree is the worst mod availble. Who needs faster casting time when all the good Curses spells have 10+ second recharges?

Use 2 HSR Mods. The best set is a +5e^50%/HSR 20% Wand and a HSR 20%/Curses +1 20% focus.

I agree with Gatecrasher, cold damage for Shivers.
The 'original' Curses staves do dark damage and you have to switch weapons for interrupt.

The +1 20% on Stonereaper is also very nice.

For general Curses I'd say Stonereaper because of the +1 20%.
For any Shivers build Modti's Depravation.
